2009 Events Highlights:

We have many events planned and some still in the works, but you can look forward to...

The 2nd annual Corn Roast in early Aug when the corn is ripe!  (Postponed till Aug 15th due to rain)

Also throughout the season Eat Smart New York will be performing cooking demonstrations and Bruce will be on hand to tell everyone eligible about the wonderful programs available to help you eat fresh for less!

Aug brings us many favorite items including:

CORN, Tomatoes (few this year due to blight)Peaches, Plums, the 1st Apples and so much more.

One of the joys of market shopping is buying your favorite items when they are in season...at their freshest and very best!  The still hot off the vine Beefsteak Tomatoes and oh so sweet Sweet Corn.

NEW THIS YEAR...

The Hudson Farmers' Market continues to grow.  Each year our list of vendors grows. New vendors are brought on board so we are able to bring even greater variety to our customers and give more vendors an opportunity to sell directly to their neighbors.  It is this relationship that keeps more acres in agriculture and more family farms operating.  We would like to welcome our newest vendors:

• Pigasso Farm- beef, port, lamb, poultry, and eggs from heritage breeds like Gloucester Old Spot and Tamworth pigs
• Germantown Community Farm - Vegetables, herbs and more
• Red Barn - Fresh prepared foods made with local ingredients...including their famous chili, pot pies and meatloaf
• Pampered Cow - not completely new, but what is new this year is that Doug has finally landed his own creamery and will be bringing cheese he has handcrafted himself!  We are all very excited for Doug and look forward to tasting his hard work...Yum!
